Outreach: Children's Festival
We always seem to have a festival going! Since 1997, we’ve collaborated with the West Liberty Chamber of Commerce to bring a charming, low key, old fashioned, family street festival to West Liberty. Lee Iben, who, as Master of Ceremonies, always kept our Young Puppeteers Festival going smoothly, now works his magic on the Children’s Festival stage. In addition to puppet shows, story telling, magic, and music on stage, the street is full of games and craft projects for kids. Starting last year, the West Liberty Library has been adding amazing activities designed to (successfully!) bring the teenagers downtown.
