Outreach: Kids' Club
For a half dozen years around the turn of the century, Monday afternoons were devoted to after school meetings of the Kids Club. Founded by Buffy Quintero, it was continued by Peggy Fitzgerald, who now runs the Make and Take workshops on show days. Owl Glass interns Maria, Hope, Isabel, and Peter helped the kids make everything from shadow puppets to marionettes to hand puppets to huge masks. Each spring found them preparing a show for the Young Puppeteers Festival. We discontinued the Kids Club when it became apparent that we were competing with too many other after school activities.
